Domabotics will be holding Brisbane robotics workshops for kids during the upcoming Easter Holidays. At these workshops, participants will be able to build and program one of the latest and greatest robots from LEGO. They will teach their robots how to move, and program the robots to interact with the world around them using sophisticated sound, light and ultrasonic sensors.
Keep your eye on this website, as we will be updating it with more details shortly.
Please contact us if you wish to be included on our mailing list and receive updated information.
Robo Basics:
Kids will be introduced to the LEGO Robotics system and Programming environment. They will build a simple robot in the morning, and have the opportunity to build a more complex version in the afternoon. Kids will get their robot to move, dance and interact with the world.Robo Masters:
Students enroling in this workshop are required to have either attend the Robo Baiscs course, or are already familiar with the NXT-G programming environment. If in doubt, please don't hesitate to contact us. Participants will build on their knowledge of the MINDSTORMS system and will have the choice of building several different projects, or come up with one completely on their own.Workshop Details:
- Workshops run from 9am - 3pm
- There will be a morning and lunch time break and participants are expected to bring their own lunch.
- Unfortunatley, due to the costs of the robots, student will not be allowed to take their creations home. Taking photos however is highly encouraged.
- The cost per participant for each workshop is $80. Why not bring a friend to do the workshop with you? A second participant working on the same robot will only cost an extra $60.
- Photos and video of the days activity will be placed on a password protected website, perfect for showing parents, grandparents even the family cat the fun of robotics.
