Introduction to Robotics: RoboLab

This workshop is an ideal introduction to the LEGO Mindstorms system and how it can be implemented in your classroom. Learn about how excite and enthuse your students and discover how robotics can be integrated into your Science, Technology and Maths KLAs. This workshop is suited to those teachers with no or little robotics experience. If you have seen the RoboCup or FLL competitions and want to know where to start, this is the workshop for you!

Beyond the Basics: RoboLab

This workshop is suited those who have already attended an introductory workshop, or those that already feel comfortable with the RoboLab development environment. In this workshop, participants will learn about new RoboLab icons (forks, containers, loops, jumps, tasks) as well as revise and reinforce the basic icons such as motor control and wait for's.

Introduction to Robotics: NXT-G

This workshop will introduce the newest robots available within the LEGO Mindstorms range, the NXT. Participants will learn how to build and program their robot using the latest NXT-G software. This workshop is suited to those school who are looking to get into robotics for the first time, or those who are transitioning from the original RCX technology.

Beyond the Basics: NXT-G

This workshop is suited those who have already attended an introductory workshop, or those that already feel comfortable with the
NXT-G development environment. In this workshop, participants will learn about new NXT-G blocks (Data hubs, Variables, Bluetooth) as well as revise and reinforce the basic blocks such as motor control and program flow. Datalogging with the NXT-G software is also covered.

Introduction to Scratch Programming

Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy to create your own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art.  As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas. Students also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
